A collaboration with a great teaching artist and friend, Casey Stamm, for Carnegie Mellon University's "Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day." We created a 45 minute interactive recital that showed kids ages 8-11 what it was like to be musicians.

I play an excerpt from Beethoven's 6th Symphony and introduce the oboe. They always guess clarinet first ;)
Explaining how music can play the "copycat" game just like siblings.
I talk a bit about the double reed and later the kids were able to crow bassoon reeds!
The kids were surprised by how small the opening of a reed was :D
